of life strives to reveal itself.....

 even under the most complicated

and mirrors back a distorted reality

the records of our past......

are where we will find long forgotten

if we only see the world....

in black and white......

we will miss all the beautiful grey tones in between

still perfect in so many ways

though no matter how much control we think we have

 we cannot hold back change

the perfect winters day........

sun shining......no clouds......no clutter

and knowing when darkness falls there will be shelter

and warmth

watching  the younger spirit in spontaneous  play is a reminder

to let go and ..

be in the moment

doorways..............

we walk through many everyday, some we never walk through twice

and others become so familiar they become our friends.

often the prickly thorns....

produce the tender roses.........never judge a book by its cover

it speaks the truth, it speaks up only because it must

it does not wait to be seen or heard and blooms purely because it can......

How many coats do we have.......

and how many do we really need ?  

If we

had none would we be empty or would we be just as full......

In darkness.... there is always light

sometimes all we have to do is find the right switch

Flags...... on a still day

they hang relaxed and floating  in space....... on a windy day they flutter and flap thrown

around by the force of nature....... not unlike our own moods

Patiently awaiting its next adventure.......

it sits calmly reflecting on those that have gone before and those which are yet to come

knowing the importance of where it is right now

fences....do they keep us in or....

keep us out ? maybe its our thoughts which keep us  on either side

better to sit on the fence perhaps !

         brave enough you can change any situation.......... even if you sometimes feel like a silly chook.......

An Orchid a day keeps the blues at Bay

....... to linger around an Orchid flowers gentle yet intricate form  inspires and uplifts reminding me that natures complexities always come forth in the simple form of beauty........... leading me to think its entirely possible for the human race to compress all its complex thoughts and ways into the form of  beauty as well.

Stark against the spectacular backdrop of the setting sun the bare winter  Frangipani tree  reminded me of how everything can change..... best stop and appreciate it now before it passes

seek silence and stillness in nature.............

The mission- to take one good (or at least interesting) photo everyday...... for a year

I guess we have all felt like this at times- caged in- suspended in mid air-frozen in motion - or on the up side- supported- drifting around aimlessly in the sunshine!

.......... and so it continues the search for the missing link the part that completes the whole, the deep knowing inside us all that stays constant- the driving force that keeps us taking the next breath ......... that driving force searches to be recognised, and only we know when we find it ....... sometimes its in the small subtle actions of everyday occurrences that are recognisable only to me at other times its recognised by everyone .... its a flower in the morning sun, a bird call, the laughter of a loved one ....... its our heart opening to receive, our arms opening to hold and most recently for me its striving to capture the  moment I am feeling through the lens of my camera ...... a aesthetic vision of the world seemingly outside of me, yet I  instinctively know it is of me as well .......
